Dear all,
at the beginning of this year Moto Guzzi enthusiasts were shocked by the news of some of the historical dealerships being withdrawn the title of "official dealership" and being demoted to simple spare parts shop.

Among these, the one that generated the most buzz was the case of the Dealership Primo Moretti in Macerata, a firm established in 1922, the oldest dealership in the world still in business. Faced with popular uprising - not only the aficionados guzzista - Piaggio,  which owns the Moto Guzzi brand, made a partial step back and granted back to Moretti the title of "official assistance workshop"

The undisputed historical value of the Primo Moretti firm, is an asset that claims for the restoration of the license dealer next to the name Primo Moretti. In the recently renewed website (http://www.primomoretti.it), the History page reports of its 92 years of business; a history  made of races, people, passion and hard work and dedication to the legendary motorcycles of Mandello del Lario.
To read at the end of this long and fascinating history about the downgrading imposed by Piaggio is absurd and incomprehensible.
This is why The Sport Association Anima Guzzista (http://www.animaguzzista.com), the reference site for the Moto Guzzi motorcycle enthusiasts, in appreciation of the immense value that Primo Moretti represents, is launching a petition to ask Piaggio to grant the firm Primo Moretti the title of Honorary Moto Guzzi Dealerhips without any contractual obligations, as approproate to a honorific title. Such a gesture will not only be symbolic but will have commercial and cultural implications, as it would be the first and perhaps the only case in this area of business. When a dealer gets to hold high the banner of his house mother for so long, it becomes imperative to recognize, celebrate and honor it as part of the brand heritage.

Anima Guzzista finally wants to celebrate this decision with a plaque that will be donate to the oldest Moto Guzzi Official Dealer in the world.
